The National Resistance Movement (RM) has not been around for long, but thousands of ordinary citizens have already joined its ranks to defend Ukraine against aggression by the external enemy. This activity is the result of the strong patriotism of the Ukrainian people and their understanding that the army and law enforcement structures are extremely weak because of the anti-state activities of Yanukovych and his associates. They are unable to take on the armed and well-trained terrorists and separatists and need help.
The purpose of the RM is to support the Ukraine’s Army to preserve Ukraine’s territorial integrity. Ordinary Ukrainians are ready to take up arms to defend their land, wage an information and cyber war in response to similar actions by the enemy, donate money to support Ukraine’s armed forces, volunteer for the RM.
The RM today:
1. Units are being formed and trained of citizens that have military experience.
2. A fund has been set up where people can donate funds that will be used to increase the country’s defense capacity.
3. Other measures are being taken to help Ukraine survive these turbulent times.
The priority at this stage is not to stop, and continue despite the temporary difficulties and obstacles that always occur during the difficult process of organizing and coordinating a national movement. We’re counting on your support! Together we will overcome the enemy!
The leader of Batkivshchyna underscored that the Resistance Movement is working with the Ukrainian army: “These are territorial defense brigades. Special camps have been set up in all oblasts of Ukraine to train these territorial defense brigades. Each brigade has a commander. People are coming from all corners of our country – east and west, center and Kyiv. There are also a lot of people from the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Odesa oblasts, and even Crimea.”
“Today our people are united more than ever. The next step is to provide the people that join the Resistance Movement with everything they need. We have to focus all our resources and capacity on defense and security. We have to defend our borders,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.
